LSX-MPEG Encoder is a legacy video encoding tool for converting digital video into standards-compliant MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 formats. It was widely used to create VCD, SVCD, and DVD-ready assets for disc authoring and broadcast delivery. The software provides presets for NTSC and PAL, supports constant- and variable-bitrate modes with optional two-pass analysis, and offers granular control over GOP structure, bit rate, field order, and deinterlacing. It can output elementary and program (system) streams and, in some editions, integrates as a plug-in with popular non-linear editors to export directly to MPEG. Batch processing helps automate larger jobs, and MPEG-1 Layer II audio encoding is supported for multiplexed outputs. While superseded by newer codecs today, LSX-MPEG Encoder remains useful when you need dependable, standards-compliant MPEG deliverables.
LSX-MPEG Encoder is developed by Ligos Corporation. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 3.0 and 3.5. The name of the program executable file is mpeg2enc.exe.
